What is Appir and how does it work?

Appir is an interactive platform that helps users discover and purchase clothing that matches their style and preferences. After a short onboarding process, you can browse clothing items using a swipe-based interface. Swipe right to like an item, left to dismiss it, and up for more details. The AI learns your preferences based on your interactions, providing you with personalized recommendations. Your favorite items are saved in your virtual wardrobe for easy organization and purchase.

What happens during the onboarding process?

During onboarding, Appir collects some basic information, such as your age range, gender-based clothing preferences, body type, shopping considerations, and style preferences for specific occasions. This information helps the AI provide tailored recommendations from the start.

Can I change my onboarding preferences later?

Yes! You can update your onboarding preferences at any time through the settings. There's also an option to restart the tutorial and onboarding process if you want to start fresh.

How does the swipe screen work?

The swipe screen is where you discover clothing items. Swipe right to like an item, left to dismiss it, and up for more information. When you're ready to buy, simply press the “Shop Now” button to be directed to the vendor's website.

What is the wardrobe, and how do I use it?

The wardrobe is your personal space where all your liked items are stored. You can scroll through them, organize them, and review them later. From this section, you can also view more details or proceed with purchasing through the seller’s website.

How does Appir learn my style?

Appir’s AI algorithm learns your style based on your interactions with clothing items. Every like, dismissal, and swipe action helps the AI better understand your preferences and refine recommendations over time.

What if I don’t like the recommendations?

If the recommendations don't match your preferences, you can refine them by adjusting your onboarding settings in the app. You can also continue swiping—the more you interact, the better the AI understands your style.

Appir's recommendation algorithm combines both long-term and short-term approaches. This means it takes into account both your historical interactions and your recent activity. For example, if you start liking more formal clothing, Appir will adjust and show you more similar items while still considering your overall style preferences.

Can I buy clothing directly through Appir?

While Appir currently doesn’t facilitate direct purchases, you can easily buy clothing by clicking the “Shop Now” button on an item. This will take you to the seller’s website, where you can complete your purchase. We are actively working on adding a direct ordering feature in future updates for a smoother shopping experience.

Can I organize the items in my wardrobe?

Yes, you can organize your wardrobe by categorizing items or sorting them by occasion, brand, or preference. This makes it easier to plan outfits or find specific pieces.

Can I use Appir if I’m shopping for someone else?

Absolutely! During onboarding or in the settings, you can set preferences for different genders, body types, or styles. However, the current version does not support swiping for multiple people within one account, as this could interfere with the AI’s ability to learn your personal style accurately. If there’s enough demand, we may develop a feature in the future that allows multiple users within a single account. Let us know if this is something you’d like to see!

Appir selects clothing options from a wide range of vendors through partnership intermediaries. We carefully choose vendors to ensure a diverse selection of styles, price ranges, and quality, so there’s something for everyone. We rely on the auditing procedures of these intermediaries to verify the validity and reliability of the vendors, as we do not have direct contact with them.
